About the SIIG 1x2 mDP 1.2 to HDMI MST Splitter

Overview

Allows you to connect 2 HDMI monitors to a single Mini DisplayPort 1.2 port with MST technology. TAA compliant

Features

Boost your productivity by connecting two HDMI displays to single Mini DisplayPort 1.2 output with Multi-Stream Transport (MST) technology - Mirror mode, Extended mode, and Panoramic Video Wall display mode

What is Multi Stream Transport (MST)?

Enables the source system to send multiple independent Video Signals over a single DisplayPort 1.2 or Mini DisplayPort 1.2 output. An MST Splitter allows the use of three different modes for multi-monitor displays, such as Mirror mode same content on each display, Extended mode with individual content on each display, and Panoramic Video Wall mode which combines multiple monitors to use as one large display

Note:

1. Mirror mode using Windows Display Utility and NVIDIA Utility is limited to 2 displays

2. Panoramic Video Wall mode requires an AMD Eyefinity, NVIDIA Surround, or Intel Collage technology graphics adapter

3. AMD and NVIDIA video cards support up to 4 displays, while Intel supports up to 3 displays (AMD RX560 / RX570 / Radeon 7200 Series video cards only support up to 2 displays)

4. Surface products only support up to 3 displays total, including the Surface screen

High Resolution

Supports UHD video resolutions up to single 3840x2160 (4Kx2K) @60Hz display or Dual 3840x2160 (4Kx2K) @30Hz displays

Mini DisplayPort (mDP) resolution can display the same maximum resolution as the original size DisplayPort (DP)

High Performance

Offers a true 21.6Gbps video bandwidth and supports 7.1ch surround sound up to 192KHz sampling rate

Bandwidth Limitation

Total Available Bandwidth 21.6Gbps for 3840x2160 @60Hz (100%) *. 3840x2160 @30Hz (40%), 2560x1600 @60Hz (38%), 2560x1440 @60Hz (35%), 1920x1200 @60Hz (30%), 1920x1080 @60Hz (22%)

Note: Make sure the total combined resolution bandwidth among all displays do NOT exceed 100%

Note:

- When the resolution of Display A and Display B is set to 3840 x 2160 @60Hz, one of them will be disabled

- If you use a 4K monitor to display in 1080p, there is a possibility that the link still gets 4K bandwidth and reduces the overall bandwidth for the other displays

Connectivity Port

Comes with one 20-pin Mini DisplayPort 1.2 input port, two 19-pin HDMI video output ports, one Micro USB for power input port (at least 5V/300mA)

Maximum Compatibility

Compatible with Mini DisplayPort 1.2 graphics cards with AMD Eyefinity, NVIDIA Surround, or Intel Collage technology

Note: Requires GPU graphics cards to support at least 2 external displays to use both video ports at the same time with extended mode

Supports Plug-n-Play, hassle-free set up without complicated hardware or driver installation

ESD Protection

An ESD protection device protects a circuit from an Electrostatic discharge (ESD), in order to prevent a malfunction or breakdown of an electronic device

TAA Compliant

Completely manufactured in a TAA designated country

Aluminum Housing Design

Premium aluminum housing provides efficient heat dissipation for reliable performance and long life
