It's able to connect to both Type-A and Type-C USB hosts with SD fallback where PCIe and NVMe are not supported. It works with a wide range of operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android/iOS smartphones with OTG functionality. This adapter is also prepared for travel with an aluminum body to improve durability. Faster transfers mean more heat - this material also helps maintain a lower temperature to avoid unwanted throttling. This is important, considering that the 10 Gbps USB interface is sufficient to maintain transfer rates of up to 985 MB/s. Actual performance is dependent on the memory card, host, and chosen USB port, but this is done seamlessly. Non-SD Express cards will operate at up to 104MBps at half-duplex.
