Deterrence and security

Featuring an HDMI output, AXIS FA51 allows you to connect external devices such as a PVM (Public Viewing Monitor). It includes AXIS Face Detector offering a proactive way to reduce shoplifting. When connected to a PVM this cost-effective main unit will highlight faces within bounding boxes and let would-be thieves believe they're being monitored. When installed at store entrances it also helps you to optimize the security resources in-store. Furthermore, it offers support for one configurable input/output port so you can connect external devices for instance to activate lights.

High performance

Compatible with all AXIS FA sensor units, AXIS FA51 supports one HDTV 1080p video stream at full frame rate to deliver excellent video quality. Thanks to Forensic WDR it provides clarity when there's both dark and light areas in the scene. The main unit can connect directly to the PVM, offering lower latency and reducing the risk of network issues. Plus, as long as there's power, it will continue to display images even when the network is down. Furthermore, Axis Zipstream significantly reduces bandwidth and storage requirements. And, Axis Edge Vault protects your Axis device ID and simplifies authorization of Axis devices on your network.

Discreet and flexible

Like all modular camera systems, AXIS FA51 Main Unit is based on a divided network camera concept. The camera is split into a small and highly discreet sensor unit (made up of a lens and image sensor) and the main unit (including the body of the camera). The units are connected by a cable included with the sensor unit. This allows the sensor unit to be installed pretty much anywhere. Ideal for mounting in monitors and ATMs, this highly discreet unit blends in seamlessly with any environment, and the camera lens may be the only visible part.
