Imprinters stamp a document after a scanner has already read it: scanner-integrated imprinters that print a mark - a date, a batch number, or a custom stamp - on the physical page once it has passed through, giving a visible, permanent record that a document was scanned. Where an audit trail on the paper itself matters as much as the digital scan, an imprinter is what provides it.
Imprinters are scanner-model-specific accessories - order by the exact document scanner they install into, since imprinter mechanisms are built for a particular scanner's paper path. Decide what the imprint needs to say before ordering; some imprinters print a fixed mark while others support custom or sequential text, and that capability should match the audit or workflow requirement driving the purchase. Ink or ribbon supply for the imprinter is a separate ongoing consumable from anything the scanner itself uses. COLAMCO supplies scanner imprinters and imprint supplies for the document-processing workflows business, government, and education organizations run.
